About Rebecca:
- Rebecca Axson is a PGY1 Pharmacy Resident. A recent graduate, Rebecca is passionate about providing patient-centered care and believes in meeting each individual where they are in their health journey. She is a resident with the Tandem Health Pharmacy Residency program. This program is a collaborative partnership between Prisma Health/USC Family Medicine, the USC College of Pharmacy and Tandem Health.
- During pharmacy school, she was actively involved in professional organizations including the South Carolina Pharmacy Association (SCPhA), Phi Lambda Sigma (PLS), and the South Carolina Society of Health-System Pharmacists (SCSHP). Her love for pharmacy was inspired by her sister, who encouraged her early on to pursue her dreams in healthcare.
- Outside of her clinical responsibilities, Rebecca enjoys spending quality time with her family, sewing clothing—including baby clothes—and baking her signature dessert, “Granny’s Pecan Pie.” Known affectionately as "Smiley" by those around her, she radiates warmth and positivity wherever she goes. Whether she's thrifting for pharmacy-themed treasures or reading faith-based literature, Rebecca finds joy in simple, meaningful moments and cherishes the blessings in her life.
- Rebecca hopes to be remembered not only as a dedicated pharmacist but as someone who lived her life guided by faith, compassion, and purpose. She aspires to help others—patients, colleagues, and students alike—live according to God’s perfect will and to be a light that encourages them to share that love with others.
