About Dr. Thapa:
- Shreeya Thapa, MD is a Family Medicine physician at Tandem Health with a focus on primary care. She earned her medical degree from North East Medical College and Hospital in Sylhet, Bangladesh, graduating in 2019. She began her career as a medical officer in Nepal before practicing for nearly a year in New York, bringing broad, cross-cultural clinical experience to her primary care practice. She is one of the family medicine residents with the Family Medicine Residency program, a collaborative partnership between Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital, the USC School of Medicine and Tandem Health.
- Dr. Thapa is dedicated to providing accessible, whole-person primary care and building lasting relationships with her patients. Though new to the Sumter community, she is eager to get involved in local community programs and looks forward to becoming an active part of the area she now calls home.
- Outside of medicine, Dr. Thapa considers herself a collector of moments rather than things, and enjoys discovering new places and creating memories with the people she cares about. She hopes her legacy reflects the values of empathy, dedication, and the ability to bring comfort to others.
